About ToolCross
Last updated: July 1, 2026
ToolCross is a small collection of accurate, single-purpose tools — size converters, unit converters and file utilities — that run entirely in your browser. No upload, no signup, no account. This page explains who makes ToolCross, where each tool's numbers actually come from, and how we keep them right.
Who makes ToolCross
ToolCross is built and maintained by the ToolCross team — a small, independent group that designs, builds and checks every tool on the site. We are not sponsored by, affiliated with, or speaking for any brand, manufacturer or standards body mentioned on the site. When a tool references a brand's sizing, it is for comparison only.
How we build the tools & where the data comes from
Every conversion is standards-based, not guessed. Each tool is built from a typed data table of real, source-traceable values — published national size charts (US / UK / EU / Japan), recognized measurement standards, and documented unit definitions — and the page only shows a figure when that figure exists in the data. We never invent plausible-looking numbers to fill a gap.
- Clothing sizes follow published US/UK/EU charts; women's body measurement bands follow EN 13402, which we treat as advisory — it standardizes body measurements, not every brand's cut, so real-world fit still varies by label.
- Units & measurements (weights, temperatures, dimensions) use standard, documented conversion factors — not rounded approximations.
- File tools (such as the HEIC converter) process everything locally in your browser; your files never leave your device.
How we keep it accurate
Charts and standards change, so tools that depend on them carry an honest “last verified” date tied to the underlying data — not the day the site last deployed. When we can't verify a value against a real source, we leave it out rather than publish it. Conversions are a starting point; where fit or tolerance matters (clothing, rings, tires), we say so plainly on the tool.
Why ToolCross exists
Most online converters are slow, cluttered, or want your email. ToolCross is the opposite: small tools that load fast, work offline once open, keep your data on your device, and are free to use. The site is supported by unobtrusive ads and the occasional affiliate link (see our Privacy Policy) — these never change the results a tool gives you.
